Mr. Lipop Fall / Winter 2011 Menswear Lookbook + Runway video

London based Mr. Lipop Fall/Winter 2011 menswear lookbook just dropped and we are extremely excited!  Images are great and the fashion is not too shabby either.  Progressive, conceptual, yet at the same, wearable, the collections is definitely one that I can get into.  In fact, I'm already pretty obsessed with the fur lined hood piece and the shearling jacket.  More images below runway video:

SIBLING LONDON COLLECTION 6 VIDEO: DARN THE BOOZER

SIBLING Collection 6 FILM is called DARN THE BOOZER and feature the London brand's many wonderful looks in a "knitted pub-crawl around east London.  Shot by Willem Jaspert and Stephen Langmanis.

Description of the video lookbook from their website:

"We start at The Golden Heart, in a crew neck featuring text, embroidered tattooed heart and spiderweb elbows or alternately in a luxury cashmere mix Claddagh fisherman’s sweater.


Moving on to The Bricklayer's Arms in an insignia zip jacket with pockets, given a sweatshirt-feel through jacquard. Roaring through The Red Lion in a sweater featuring said big cat textured in profile.


Finishing at the George & Dragon (a fair isle knitted in Scotland featuring Saint George, crossed cigarettes and dragons) with a tank, cardigan jacket, scarf and G&D horse blanket.


George, the knight himself, inspires further: The Pauldron sweater with knitted shoulder pieces and leather buckles; heavyweight Pauldron knitted coat with belt, buckle pockets, shawl collar and detachable zip scarf through to the hand knitted Hauberk zip jacket with matching Gorget. Introducing the George drape hooded jacket with detachable zip hood. And sculptural Dragon-stitch hoodie and crew neck.


An Italian made all-in-one based on army underwear with rib detailing and cinch back, can be worn on its own or layered under jeans, available in short or full-length leg. Accessories include beanies with fur pom poms, Love and Hate Rose Tattoo gloves and the Knitted Brick Lane Shopper.


In colour palette of gunmetal grey, blood red, black and tattoo classics – blue, green, red, yellow – it’s a collection for wrapping up and keeping up.


This season’s artist collaboration is with Pure Evil, who has a gallery on Leonard Street (or on the way to the Bricklayer’s). Pandas Rock! are pandas with sequin Kiss make-up, realized as a crew neck, cardigan and also available as a knitted book bag."

Komakino Fall / Winter 2011 Menswear

British menswear brand Komakino's Fall/Winter 2011 lookbook shows us that for Fall/Winter 11, BLACK is once again...the new black.  There was a period of time in my 20s when everything I wore was black, but I kept the looks interesting playing with textures and silhouettes.  I think Komakino did an amazing job with the textural play and the layering.  The touch of army green - genius.

Dunhill Presents: Min Kyu Choi "The Flat Plug"

It's always interesting to hear people talk about design. Here, Dunhill featured industrial designer Min Kyu Choi and his design of "the flat plug". I love that he talks about design as function...which has always been a personal design philosophy of mine. I hate to see a design that's all about added details that serves no purpose or reason. DECORATIONS = no good... especially in menswear.

Form follows function and so does good design.

Barbour International 75th Anniversary FILM...HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

In celebration of their 75th Anniversary, Barbour International released a short film showing their amazing Biking Jacket in the English countryside.

"The Original Biking Jacket...Never Bettered, Never Beaten."

Also, a 75th anniversary edition of the Biker jacket has been released. A fine patina has been added to the wax and a stylish union jack patch on the chest to show off its English heritage. One of the first adopters of the waxed cotton, Barbour is definitely a brand to know. Such an amazing piece!

Antony Price X Topman = PRICELESS, literally. FALL / WINTER 2010 Collaboration Lookbook

In his fourth collaboration with Topman cleverly named PRICELESS, Antony Price explores a futuristic military motif. Think Military....2040. Staring Tomek Szczukiecki in this lookbook, the pieces fuse strong military influence with fashion forward silhouettes and materials. I personally love the fold over funnel coat and the leather "belstaff" style officer's coat. The slouchy jersey pants aren't too shabby either. Maybe it's time to head over to TOPMAN for some retail therapy.

In celebration of Polo.com's 10 year anniversary, the NYC and the London Ralph Lauren flagships held identical 4-dimensional installations on the facades of the buildings. This is the first time 4-D technology has been used in this capacity and probably the first time most people has been exposed to this technology (I was lucky enough to have been exposed to 4-D this past summer when I went to the Taiwan pavillion's 4D sphere theatre at the SHANGHAI WORLD EXPO 2010. I WAS BLOWN AWAY!). The videos below can not begin to describe how amazing it truly is!

Burberry Winter Storms Capsule Fall / Winter 2011

Burberry just released the Winter Storms capsule collection and I'm pretty much in love with all of it. Ranging from mens to womens to childrens to accessories and from trenches to bags, to umbrellas and eyeswear, Burberry's got you covered. Video from the campaign is below...and it's pretty great. 54 seconds of pure Christoper Bailey genius. Can't beat that!
