ANORAK - VMAN Fall 2012 Menswear Editorial

Corey Baptiste, Arthur Goose, Nicklas Kingo, and Ethan James step in front of Sharif Hamza's lens for an airy menswear editorial titled ANORAK for VMAN Fall 2012.  I'm obsessed with the movement and the beautifully layered styling (by Tom Van Dorpe) captured in this editorial.  Finally, fall is almost here and I can break out all my fall gear (however, it was 100 degrees today in LA)!  The anorak though, may still have to wait till winter.  But, it's still great to be inspired!

Superhero-like, the looks feature designers such as Y-3, RAF SIMONS, ALEXANDER WANG, PHILLIP LIM, YSL, PATRIK ERVELL, RICK OWENS and many more.

The editorial is so great, I'm making the images extra large below:

THEONES 2 WATCH New Wave Menswear Editorial - NEW BOOTS

Louis Galloway and Charlie star in The Ones 2 Watch New Wave menswear editorial titled NEW BOOTS.  If you didn't know, I'm a menswear contemporary designer who is also designing boyswear (Big Boys and Toddler) in my current job, so I'm always on the lookout for inspirational images for my work collections.  This came across my radar just in the nick of time to inspire me going into the FW13 season.

I love the casual feel of the collection with the slight punk edge.  Shot by Jude Kendall, the looks feature pieces from designers such as Christophe Lemaire, Stone Island, Levi's, CP Company, and many more.

Marc Stone Spring / Summer 2013 Menswear Lookbook

Recently, I came across Zurich based Marc Stone's Spring / Summer 2013 Menswear lookbook and was pleasantly surprised.  It's my first exposure to his namesake label so when I saw such a well considered lookbook and focused collection, I definitely had to do more exploration.

In a collaboration with Icelandic artist Thelma Herzl, the collection features suiting and casual wear in electric orange and various hues of light taupe and aquas.  My favorite of it all is the volcanic ash print which is quite beautiful.  Love the mix of soft and hard pieces and the geometric tailored cuts goes after my own heart.

H.E. by Mango Fall / Winter 2012 Menswear Lookbook

Noah Mills once again stars in a surprisingly chic and stylish Fall / Winter 2012 menswear lookbook for H.E. by Mango.  Haven't been to a MANGO in a while but this lookbook definitely has me thinking about stopping by and seeing how these pieces look in person.  It may be just Noah, but for the sake of my fall closet and my bank account, let's hope not!

The looks are contemporary and rather timeless.  So, so, so many things I am planning on buying -  the slim leather jacket, quilted flannel jacket, knit marled blazer and the charcoal topcoat.

Engineered Garments Spring / Summer 2013 Menswear Lookbook

I've been a huge fan of Engineered Garments since it's inception.  Daiki Suzuki's offering for Spring / Summer 2013 stays true to the label's trademark modernized Americana aesthetic and it's just quirky enough for it to look fresh and updated.

From hippy florals to traditional plays on paisley, to patchwork madras, the overall feel is a crumpled and unstructured outing in the big city.  As always, love the layering and the collection is just the right amount of casual attitude.
