Jür­gen Sch­abes Shoots Chris Sitzler

Well, not literally!  

Model Chris Sitzler just sat (or stood) for photographer Jür­gen Sch­abes for a vintage Americana inspired motif photo shoot.  I just love the modern interpretation of the Americana outfits set against the beautifully aged and slightly tattered vintage American flag.  

Key take aways for me here.... harem trousers, vests, blazers, linen & linen-like textured fabrics and the mandarin collar.  Also, white as a color - refreshing!

Numero Homme China: Spring 2012 Menswear Editorial

Model Jakub Nowocien comes together with photographer Txema Yeste for a beautifully saturated editorial for the latest Spring 2012 issue of Numero Homme China.  Clad in Givenchy and Prada to just drop a few names, the focus was definitely on printed matters.

And, if you don't have a printed shirt, pant, or whatevers by now...perhaps you should take a day off from whatever you are doing and go shopping.  (Just a thought)

Obsessed?  A bit!

Side note:  Went and tried on the Givenchy engineered birds of paradise print buttondown shirt and it was pretty amazing on.  Sigh....

Jas M.B. Spring / Summer 2012 Lookbook

You know that a perfect bag has a certain slouch when one puts it down that makes it just the "IT" bag?  There's just something about the way it sits that makes it so cool and so covetable.  For that reason, I've always been a big fan of British leather brand Jas M.B. for their updated utilitarian bags that have just the perfect amount of slouch.  

Known for their beautiful structure and practicality (read as you'll actually use it!), Jas M.B. have just dropped their Spring / Summer 2012 lookbook.   Here's what I'm eyeing.... 1)Hoof Large Stripe Cold Canvas tote 2)Folios and 3)the backpacks (the yellow one + the olive/black mixed media one)!

Should have bought more at their Taipei store when I was just there but there simply wasn't time.  Good thing you can find them online here.

Arena Homme + : COWBOYS, RANGERS, BULLS Menswear Editorial

Since I work for an American heritage brand, I am always looking for images of "America" to inspire my work (and to use as mood board images...hehe).  This editorial in the latest issue of Arena Homme+ titled Cowboys, Rangers, Bulls shot by John Clang is a modern look at American life.  Shot against photographs of fast-paced city life, models Russell Giardina, David Hlinka, and Chris Petersen are dressed in relaxed, minimal silhouettes with cowboy hats in a palette of neutrals and muted hues.  Fashion editorial it definitely is....but the stark contrast between the relaxed cowboys against the urban backgrounds says so much more about us as a society.

Client Magazine Issue #6: FISHERMAN'S BLUES Menswear Editorial

I love it when beautiful things just land in my life so when I was contacted by photographer Oliver Sutton of Cape Town, South Africa with his latest shoot for issue #6 of Client Magazine, I was ecstatic.  Featuring Marc Massa, Max, Daryl, and Cosmo McDonald and styled by Marianna Frannais, the nautically inspired menswear editorial is titled "Fisherman's Blues".  Shot in B&W, the looks blends the  rough life of a fisherman with refined yet tattered offerings from Izzue, Dolce & Gabbana, Tim Soar, Levis Made & Crafted, Lou Dalton and many others.  And of course... there's nudity - but this is relatively safe for work.

NOMADS : NUMERO HOMME Spring / Summer 2012 Menswear Editorial

First off...so sorry for the lack of posts lately.  Work has been....to put it democratically...pure pandemonium.  And this is even before I leave for my trips!  But I am definitely trying to check in as much as I can...especially when there are such beautiful editorials and fashion to share!

From NUMERO HOMME, photographer Boo George shoots models Baptiste Radufe and Rob Moore and an especially sexy female counterpart along the shores for an Spring / Summer 2012 editorial titled NOMADS.  Featuring pieces from Jil Sander, Ann Demeulemeester, Dior Homme, Paul Smith, Yohji Yamamoto, and other fashion heavy weight, tailored separates come together through an nomadic, wanderer lens.  So beautiful!

P.S. - I love women in suits....just so sexy!

Green Day steps into the spot light for John Varvatos Spring / Summer 2012 campaign.  Varvatos has always used iconic musicians (Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper, Dave Matthrews, The Roots, etc) to front their collections and their rock n' roll lifestyle.  Green Day definitely has been influential in my upbringing and my teenage angsts.  A pretty great combo I must say.
