FIVE FOUR: THE GRADUATING CLASS VOL. 1, 2011 Book + Behind-the-Scenes Video

 
Los Angeles based contemporary brand FIVE FOUR just released their newly published book, THE GRADUATING CLASS Vol. 1, 2011, featuring some of the brightest and most promising talents for the 2011 NFL draft!  JUST IN TIME FOR THE DRAFT TODAY!

The roster includes: Von Miller, Jake Locker, Jordan Todman, Stephen Paea, Austin Pettis, Ryan Kerrigan, Kyle Rudolph, Nate Solder, Kai Forbath, Casey Matthews, and Scott McKnight.  Captured through the lens of Five Four creative director Andres Izquieta, the books takes these twelve graduating college athletes on a journey through fashion, art, and photography. 

I was fortunate enough to work styling on this book and also was able to create some custom pieces for FIVE FOUR just for the shoot.  Overall, it was a great experience and a new one as well - imagine lots of XLs and 2XLs to pull - definitely not your typical photoshoot!  But thankfully, lots of great pieces from FIVE FOUR made it easier.

"La Maison" Hermes Book by Koto Bolofo

Innovative fashion photographer Koto Bolofo has had a behind-the-scenes access to the Hermes fashion empire for the last four year and the result is this amazing book, La Maison.  Get a sneak peak into Hermes' workshops and how their wares are made, from handbags, perfumes, scarves, pret-a-porter and shoes.

Official launch of the book is set for April 30th, 2011.  Can't wait to have this on my coffee table!

MY FIRST FASHION BOOK PUBLICATION! Sally Congdon-Martin's EMERGING FASHION DESIGNERS I - Reception + Book signing

It turns out that I will be one of the featured designer in Sally Congdon-Martin's Emerging Fashion Designers I coffee table book!  Yep, I can't believe it either!

Emerging Fashion Designers is a book series meant to showcase fresh, innovative creations by recent graduates of some of the most respected fashion design programs at colleges and universities across the USA.  I'm quite honored to have been selected!

Here's the invite for the book signing in NYC on Friday, February 11, 2011 from 5:30-7:00 PM at the Rizzoli Bookstore on W. 57th.  Unfortunately, I can't make it....stuck on the other coast!

On that note, here's my portfolio... in case you wanted to see potentially what she may have picked for the book.  I'm not even sure myself!!!

"The Geometry of Pasta" Book

Have you ever wondered how many different geometric versions of Pasta there are? Well, Caz Hildebrand and Jacob Kenedy definitely has. In their book, "The Geometry of Pasta", Hildebrand and Kenedy celebrates the 300 shapes that Pasta can take in super graphic form. Oh yeah, and did I mention that there are recipes in here? Well, there are.

Definitely a book for carbo-loading food lovers.

Louis Vuitton:100 Legendary Trunks

To mark the opening of the exhibition "a Journey Into The Capital, Louis Vuitton and Paris" at the Carnavalet Museum on October 13th, 2010, Louis Vuitton will release a book to capture the Louis Vuitton Trunk as one of the most iconic travel accessories in luxury.

This is definitely one for the collection!
