Givenchy Spring / Summer 2012 menswear collection has gone from black Catholic-Gothic to now, tropical-flower prints, crystals and sequins.....ON WHITE! Definitely a departure from what we would expect from Riccardo Tisci and the Givenchy brand.
Quite honestly, if you would have asked me if I like this collection before I found out it was Givenchy, I would have probably said yes. But coming from Givenchy...I am a little confused. The cuts are interesting and the use of the sublimated tropical prints is pretty genius, especially over the mesh. But... it just seems off. Maybe I miss the edge and the black. Or perhaps the change is good?
