Citizen Deconstructed: Workwear Collection 2012

We got a pleasant surprise in our mailbox when we got back from our trip!  Robert Rigutto, ex-creative director of Calvin Klein, Donna Karen, Kenneth Cole and many more, contacted us with his newly launched Sydney based label, CITIZEN DECONSTRUCTED by sending us his new 2012 Workwear Collection lookbook.

A heavily indigo/denim based sportswear collection inspired by vintage railroad workers of the 1930s and 1940s, I'm loving the modern mix of activewear influences with workwear silhouettes. This juxtaposition is fresh and on-point with where I believe this workwear trend is heading.  Citizen Deconstructed's mandate focuses on affordable separates for men - fusing an urban sportif with a tailored edge.  The resulting looks are relaxed rather than formal, choosing to focus on functional details with "pops", whether it is color or contrast fabric plays.

We'll definitely be keeping an eye out for Citizen Deconstructed in the future and look forward to future offerings.  We love what we see so far!

And by the way, they are currently looking for representation/showroom in the USA.   So, if you are one....feel free to contact them.  Currently - only available in Hong Kong at Lane Crawford & in Australia  at The Grand Social and Attic.

Check out the many looks below:
