General Idea Spring / Summer 2013 menswear runway takes inspiration from lumberjacks and the wild outdoors. Updated camouflage, color/fabric blocking, and proportion play are main key design concepts designer Bumsuk Choi took on this season and I would say rather successfully! Yellow and orange are key color accents against a rather subdued neutral indigo/chambray and khaki palette.
I've been a huge fan of General Idea since its launch in 2004 and had a field day during my last trip to Korea at their Apgujeong store. Loving the quirky updated workwear/americana feel of the collection but clearly interpreted through a modern almost ASIAN perspective.
