Japanese label Julius Fall / Winter 2012 menswear collection takes a more refined point of view than in previous seasons. Designer Tatsuro Horikawa takes the expected semi-androgynous gothic style to a new level by pairing it this season with clean lines and distressed printing. Zippers are an important trim/design detail and add slight sheen/spark/luxe to the overtly dark palette. Styling was extremely pared down with strong emphasis on the minimal layering.
I am a huge fan of Julius and I love the more polished look...definitely on trend yet still retaining the aesthetic for which Julius is known.
