Native Son just released a pretty cool mood/campaign video for Fall / Winter 2012. Based and inspired by the writings of 18th century philosopher Immanuel Kant, the video tells the story of a man on a journey in search of home. Directed by Niclas Gillis, this is definitely worth a watch.
Funny, it's only fitting that I'm wearing a Native Son coat today. Perhaps I, too, can find God in a mere mirror.
Enjoy the video.
From Native Son:
Directed by Niclas Gillis, the Native Son Fall/Winter 2012 fashion film chronicles the journey of a man in search of home, tearing through the wilderness until death, upon which he reaches the shore of that which lies beyond. An allegorical tale, the journey is supposed to symbolize man's eternal pursuit for meaning. The man eventually discovers it upon the realization that outward pursuit will lead him only deeper into the maze. Instead, he finds that ultimate wisdom can only be derived from within, symbolized by the replacement of God for a mere mirror.
The film is inspired by the writing of 18th century philosopher Immanuel Kant, who write that the moto of enlightenment is "Sapere Aude", or "Dare to be wise".
