Bottega Veneta HAND OF THE ARTISAN - THE KNOT RETROSPECTIVE Video

My favorite Bottega Veneta releases another video as part of their HAND OF THE ARTISAN series.  This one is devoted to the idea of the knot and the making of a women's clutch titled THE KNOT RETROSPECTIVE.

I love this because it reminds us of the time and the work that goes into producing these luxury goods.  In the hands of skilled artisans....magic truly happens!

HERO - by Artist Miguel Endara : VIDEO

Miami based artist Miguel Endara, in a piece titled HERO, does a portrait of his father entirely out of dots from a Micron pen in a stippling fashion. Here's the quick video to document his process.   A total of 3,2 million ink dots!  This truly is a labor of love - both for his art and his father.  We are touched and inspired.

Louis Vuitton The Process: Double Exposure with Sam Taylor-Wood

Titled Double Exposure, Louis Vuitton is creating a new photo project with artist Sam Taylor Wood.  Using 19th century mercurial collodion process, the subjects have to sit and hold a pose for 12 seconds.  The video captures the amazing process.

Billykirk - Process Video

I have a pretty big obsession with accessories and bags and these days, a good, well-made bag can be hard to find.  The Brothers Bray (Billy & Kurt) are master leather craftsmen and it shows through their line BILLYKIRK.   I love process videos like this because you can learn so much about the brand.  Honestly, it doesn't get any better than quality + handmade.

Side note: I also love the apron!

Everyone knows that I love my Moleskine mini that I carry everywhere with me. Here's a video from Moleskine showing the debossing process and how custom editions are made. Truly fascinating...but I love this kind of process videos.
