Welcome to Ricardo Tisci's vision of the "Church of Fashion" in the Givenchy Spring / Summer 2013 Menswear runway. Definitely elevating the high-end street wear aesthetic the brand has cultivated over the last couple of seasons, I'm obsessed with the play on the suiting (silhouette and length) and the stylistic layering of the looks. Lean and long tunics under sleeveless suit jackets are definitely a look I'm looking to "borrow" and am loving the fabric mixing from organza to satin. The resulting offering is a perfect blend of androgynous and almost monastic "middle eastern" styling. The use of the light pink and the Italian Renaissance catholic icon style painting prints (even with the halos!) are pretty unexpected!
Love, love, love.
