Off to Asia for 3 weeks!!!  In fact, I'm writing this post sitting in the lounge at TPE waiting to catch my transfer to Shanghai.   The itinerary includes Shanghai & surroundings cities (factory visits and design meetings), Seoul (vendor and supplier meetings) and back to TPE for a little family and friend R&R time. Super excited as this will be my first time to Seoul - SHOPPING TIME!

Anyhoo, will check in when I can and I'll try and find a way around the CENSORSHIP issue in China.  I'm resourceful enough I hope.  When there's a will...there a way right?  You can always find me on INSTAGRAM as I'm sure China hasn't blocked that YET! @standeviationco

Skingraft Fall / Winter 2011 Menswear Lookbook

Skingraft is a label I've been looking at for a while now for many reasons.  Top 3 here:  #1 - They are an LA brand.  #2 - They are leather craftsmen (my favorite). #3 - Their offerings are just so damn cool.   

Just released is the Fall/Winter 2012 menswear lookbook and I will have to say that it's a bit more wearable than in previous seasons (in a good way).  I'm not saying that I wouldn't wear it before...but this seasons just seems like I can see it on the streets rather than just in a showroom or on a runway or on fellow designers.  As always, love the soft against the hard in the fabric mixing and of course staying true to their brand and aesthetics, pieces are offered in tones of neutrals, blacks and of course heavy use of leather.

Asher Levine Fall / Winter 2012 Menswear Lookbook + Video

I've been really into Asher Levine for a while now.  Now, with this fifth collection, he takes his inspiration from a decadently despotic, futuristic society for Fall / Winter 2012.  Military and functional and bit tailored than in previous seasons, the collection retains the edge for which it's known .

Dainius Bendikas - INFINITE WE ARE Menswear Lookbook

I love this new project from young Lithuanian costume and menswear designer Dainius Bendikas titled INFINITE WE ARE.  Taking inspiration from the idea of "extraterrestrial", strong lines, theatrical touches and beautiful/functional details are what makes this project a standout.  Suede, distressed leathers and exaggerated knitwear in a neutral/almost otherworldly color palette just makes the already beautiful collection even more so.  

To say I'm obsessed....is an understatement.  From the details, I love the pattern/cutting work.  Why have a normal seam when you can have more interesting ones!  Check out his website as there are many other very, very inspirational projects.  SO INSPIRED!!!
