Timo Weiland Fall/Winter 2011 presentation is rocker meets colonial India in the sixties. With skinny trousers, turtlenecks, trench coats with printed scarfs and must have - DARK SHADES, the collection is inspired by a fictional trip that Gloria Vanderbilt and Keith Richards took, and the looks are the results upon returning. What an imagination!
Hints of colonialism can be seen in the menswear looks with Prince of Wales checks and patch pocket blazers, and the Indian prints of the Himalayas at sunset, bengal tiger jacquards, and ikats were highlights in the women's looks.
I think the looks are fresh, especially the bold use of patterns.
