Woolrich Woolen Mills Spring/Summer 2011 Lookbook
Woolrich Woolen Mill's Spring/Summer 2011 collection is the last one that will be designed by Daiki Suzuki and that makes us a little sad. If you don't know, Daiki is also the designer behind ENGINEERED GARMENTS (I'm obsessed with EG)! However, he does leave with a very well designed and assorted collection referencing labels from the 1950s to the 1970s and inspired by authentic garments of those eras.
Reference authentic garments gives the clothes a life of their own. It's always funny to see new menswear designers trying to make up design details...and looking ridiculous as a result. Their clothes just look too "designed" and just "trying too hard"! Authentic details are a must in menswear!
Anyhoo...enough ranting. For Spring/Summer 2011, expect lots of anoraks and pockets from Woolrich.
